Auxiliary nurse
The Clinique médicale du Sud-Ouest is looking for a full-time auxiliary nurse (temporary position with possibility of extension). Our clinic brings together a team of more than 35 dynamic and caring general practitioners.
The chosen person will join a great team committed to providing quality service to patients.
Job Title: Nursing Assistant
Status: Temporary position until March 31, 2025 with possibility of extension
Schedule: Full time: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Salary: $29 to $33 per hour (depending on experience)
Start date: As soon as possible
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The auxiliary nurse will collaborate with doctors and other health professionals. He or she will take care of, among other things:
- Take patients’ vital signs, triage and vaccinate various groups

Take blood tests;
- Contribute to the assessment of people’s state of health and the implementation of their care plan;

Write notes on the condition of patients. We use Myle software;
- Sterilize, store, prepare and distribute the equipment necessary for the various treatments;

Take samples, do ABCs, ear washes, do ECGs;
- Assist and assist physicians and other professionals in performing specific tasks (e.g. applying sterile compresses, removing stitches);
- Perform other necessary care assistance tasks…
REQUIREMENTS
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
- Up-to-date CPR/AED first aid training
- Professional studies diploma (DEP) in health, assistance and nursing from a school recognized by the ministry
- One year of experience
- Very good spoken French and bilingual with English because the clinic is located in Verdun and most of our clients speak English
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Myle software an asset.
- Work independently and show initiative;
- Be able to work in a team and deal with urgent situations;
- Good manual skills and dexterity
- Enjoy and have ease in working with the public
- Sense of responsibility and good judgment

Secretary
The Clinique médicale du Sud-Ouest is looking for a full-time/permanent day secretary. The successful candidate will receive training and join a team focused on mutual assistance and teamwork.
Do you have experience in customer service? Are you comfortable with computers? Would you like to work in the medical field? If so, we have what you need!
Job Title: Day Secretary
Status: Permanent position / 35 hours per week
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Starting salary: $20/hr
Start date: As early as possible in February 2025 or before
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcoming patients
-
Answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments and returning calls
- Manage doctors’ schedules via the clinic’s electronic medical record
-
Track forms, faxes, letters and other documents that physicians may need
Prepare offices and take inventory of basic supplies required
Produce photocopies and route faxes
Responding to hospital requests
Provide occasional replacement for colleagues in similar positions in the clinic
Any other related tasks to ensure proper functioning.
