The clinic is a dynamic, professional and enjoyable workplace.  Auxiliary nurse

The Clinique médicale du Sud-Ouest is looking for a part-time auxiliary nurse. Our clinic brings together a team of more than 35 dynamic and caring general practitioners.

The chosen candidat will join a great team committed to providing quality service to patients.

Permanent position / Part time

Schedule: Proposed schedule:

Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

But flexible schedule can be adapted

Salary :

$25 to $33 per hour (depending on experience)

As soon as possible

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The auxiliary nurse will collaborate with doctors and other health professionals. He or she will take care of, among other things:

  • Take patients’ vital signs, triage and vaccinate various groups
  • Prepare and administer medications in accordance with safety principles and the code of ethics;
  • Contribute to the assessment of people’s state of health and the implementation of their care plan;
  • Provide palliative care and collaborate in hygiene and comfort care;
  • Write notes on the condition of patients, the care provided and the medications administered. We use the Myle software;
  • Sterilize, store, prepare and distribute the equipment necessary for the various treatments;
  • Take samples and provide care and perform various treatments related to wounds and skin changes (according to a prescription);
  • Assist and assist physicians and other professionals in performing specific tasks (e.g. applying sterile compresses, removing stitches);

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED first aid training
  • Professional studies diploma (DEP) in health, assistance and nursing from a school recognized by the ministry
  • One year of experience
  • Very good spoken French and bilingual with English

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Myle software an asset.
  • Work independently and show initiative;
  • Be able to work in a team and deal with urgent situations;
  • Good manual skills and dexterity
  • Enjoy and have ease in working with the public
  • Sense of responsibility and good judgment
